Ruizhen Li is a doctoral student in Economics at the Center for Doctoral Studies in Economics (CDSE), University of Mannheim. Prior to joining CDSE, she earned a Master of Science in Applied Economics from Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Liverpool. Before beginning her doctoral studies, she worked as a Research Department Intern at the Center for China and Globalization (CCG), where she contributed to research on international migration, higher education, and public policy.
Her research interests include international trade, industrial policy, behavioral economics, and policy evaluation. She is particularly interested in applying causal inference methods and applied econometric techniques to evaluate the effects of public policies and to study issues related to international trade, industrial development, and economic growth. Her recent research has focused on policy evaluation, regional development, and global value chains, using applied econometric methods to address policy-relevant economic questions.
