After completing secondary school Lucas took a gap year during which he worked with persons with mental disability at the “Heilpädagogischer Wohn- und Beschäftigungsverbund”. He then started his psychology degree at the University of Mannheim. During his Master studies, which he finished in 2016, he was employed as a research assistant at the Chair of Educational Psychology and supported a project on way-finding and orientation. His further areas of research are (visual) information processing, divergent thinking and expertise.
