The Equal Opportunity Commissioners of the Schools
The Constitution of the University of Mannheim stipulates that each school has to appoint at least one equal opportunity commissioner. This person attend meetings of the school council and chairs the Senate Committee on Equal Opportunity in an advisory function.
The equal opportunity commissioners of the schools act as the deputies of the central equal opportunity commissioner and shall represent her on search committees. The individual schools and the Department of Equal Opportunity and Social Diversity have defined different regulations on granting a release from work duties for the equal opportunity commissioners of the schools.
