The Equal Opportunity Commissioners of the Schools

The Constitution of the University of Mannheim stipulates that each school has to appoint at least one equal opportunity commissioner. This person assumes an advisory function in the meetings of the school council and chairs the Senate Committee on Equal Opportunity.

The equal opportunity commissioners of the schools act as the deputies of the central equal opportunity commissioner and shall represent her on search committees. The individual schools and the Department of Equal Opportunity and Social Diversity have defined different regulations on granting a release from work duties for the equal opportunity commissioners of the schools.

At the institutions of the University of Mannheim, there are further persons assuming responsibility with regard to equal opportunity topics.
