Women Go Abroad – Mobility Grants for young female researchers

International mobility is essential for a successful academic career. Female doctoral students, women postdocs, and junior professors can apply to us for grants to cover their travel expenses related to the participation in international conferences, for research stays, or for attending winter/summer schools, thus ensuring the important professional exchange with colleagues from all over the world.

Please note:  Applications for travel cost subsidies through 'Women go abroad' for trips in 2025 are now being accepted.

Deadline for submitting the application

  • Please submit your application at least four weeks before the start of your trip.
  • Application deadline: August 31, 2025, or until the budget is exhausted
  • The deadline for submitting the travel reimbursement request is October 31, 2025.
