Travel Expenses

Women Go Abroad – Mobility Grants for young female researchers

International mobility is essential for a successful academic career. Female doctoral students, women postdocs, and junior professors can apply to us for grants to cover their travel expenses related to the participation in international conferences, for research stays, or for attending winter/summer schools, thus ensuring the important professional exchange with colleagues from all over the world.

Please note: No grants will be awarded for trips within Germany.

The 'Women go abroad' program is closed because all resources have been exhausted. Doctoral students can apply to the IDEUM program for a travel allowance, postdocs via a program line of the research fund (please contact Katharina Bolle (katharina.bolle uni-mannheim.de) for this). Please note that at the moment the mentionnedprograms do not fund resarch stays

Update due to the Corona pandemic: Participation in international events that are offered exclusively online will also be funded in 2022. The prerequisite for funding such an online event is that it serves the scientific or personal career development.
