- Across the globe, the Shanghai Ranking is considered an important indicator of the academic performance and research influence of higher education institutions.
- In the 2025 ranking, the University of Mannheim was once again one of the leading German universities in Social Sciences as well as Business Administration and Economics.
- In the “Social Sciences” category, which also includes Economics, Business Administration, and Communication Studies, it is one of the top three universities in Germany in six of the eleven subjects listed.
