International University

The University of Mannheim stands out for its international approach to research and teaching: People from many nations study, research, and work here. The bilingual campus is characterized by diversity and multiculturalism.

Researchers from Mannheim participate in research projects around the world, collaborating with their international colleagues on a variety of research projects. Various collaborative programs, degree programs taught in English, and double degree programs prepare students and early-stage researchers from Germany and abroad for the international job market. About one third of Mannheim students spend a semester abroad as part of their studies. Many more take part in digital exchange programs that we run with our partner universities. Our international alumni also work all over the world.

The University of Mannheim is involved in strong international networks. It is the coordinating university of the European university alliance ENGAGE.EU – The European University Engaged in Societal Change and a founding member of the U7+ Alliance of World Universities.
