Academic integrity
Your academic work has to contain clear and unambiguous references to existing research, research hypotheses have to be substantiated, and existing knowledge must be dealt with in a truthful and accurate way. These basic guidelines describe the concept of academic integrity. Under section 3 subsection 5 of the act on the higher education institutions in the Land of Baden-Württemberg (LHG), students undertake to comply with this principle. Academic integrity is a basic requirement for a working academic system. Therefore, non-compliance with academic standards, for example, in the form of plagiarism, will have far-reaching consequences.
