Academic integrity

Your own (academic) work has to contain clear and unambiguous references to existing research, research hypotheses have to supported and you have to deal honestly with existing knowledge. These basic guidelines describe the concept of academic integrity. Under section 3 subsection 5 of the act on the higher education institutions in the Land of Baden-Württemberg (Landeshochschulgesetz), students undertake to comply with this principle. Academic integrity is a basic requirement for a working academic system. Therefore, non-compliance with academic standards, for example, plagiarism, has far-reaching consequences.
