Internationality in research and teaching is at the core of the University of Mannheim. People from all over the world study, do research, and teach here. Diversity and multiculturalism are key components of our bilingual campus. Through partnerships with higher education institutions all over the world, we create a dynamic learning environment that broadens our students’ academic horizons and strengthens intercultural dialog.
In addition to encouraging students to spend a semester abroad, the university also wants to make teaching even more international and supports teachers in their efforts to gain experience at international higher education institutions. International teaching collaborations such as Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL), online exchange programs and international teaching mobilities with ERASMUS+ enable teachers to expand their intercultural skills and share knowledge and innovative teaching methods.
