Academic Calendar

The University of Mannheim has aligned its academic calendar with the international academic year. This means that lectures begin in September in the fall semester, and in February in the spring semester. The orientation weeks for first-year students and exchange students always take place in the week before the lecture period begins.

  • Dates for the Fall Semester 2024

    Semester: 1 August 2024 – 31 January 2025
    Re-registration: 1 May 2024 – 15 June 2024 (since 15 June 2024 is a Saturday, feedback is possible until Monday, 17 June 2024)
    Lecture period: 2 September 2024 – 6 December 2024
    Examination period: 9 December 2024 – 21 December 2024
    Alternate examination dates: 1 February 2025 – 8 February 2025

  • Dates for the Spring Semester 2025

    Semester: 1 February 2025 – 31 July 2025
    Re-registration: 15 October 2024 – 1 December 2024 (since 1 December 2024 is a Sunday, feedback is possible until Monday, 2 December 2024)
