Vier Studierende lernen am Gruppentisch der Universität Mannheim

HUSL

Hybrid Support System for Self-Regulated Learning

Self-directed learning is an essential prerequisite for a successful time at university, but it requires skills and a great deal of practice. Relevant skills include, among other things, setting specific learning goals, planning the learning process, self-motivation, and evaluating and adjusting one’s own learning. All of these skills are grouped under the term “self-regulated learning.”

AI applications can support you in many ways. However, there is also a risk that they could undermine your learning progress. We are here to help you figure out how to integrate AI meaningfully and effectively into your learning process.

Benefits for you as students:

  • Using AI effectively for learning: In one-on-one learning coaching sessions, we will show you how to use AI to plan your learning goals, track your progress, and reflect on your learning processes.
  • Do not just work faster, focus on learning better: In workshops and learning coaching sessions, you will learn specific strategies for using AI to support self-regulated learning—for example, for feedback, self-assessments, or structuring complex content.
  • Personalized & practical: Whether in learning coaching sessions or workshops, you will work on your own learning challenges and develop routines for a reflective, effective approach to using AI in your studies.
