The University of Mannheim is the first public higher education institution in Germany to align its academic calendar with the international academic year. This makes it easier for students, teachers and researchers to participate in exchanges, and contributes to the campus’ international character.
Spring semester | 1 February – 31 July and Fall semester | 1 August – 31 January
Welcome to the University of Mannheim. We want your first weeks at university to go as smoothly as possible, and so we invite all first-year students to participate in our student information days that take place in the week before the lecture period begins.
The International Office and the student organizations at the university arrange different events and days out for international students.
