MISES Researchers at CEPR Workshop

Stefan Reichelstein commenced the CEPR workshop with introductory remarks on “Carbon Emission Pledges and Corporate Decarbonization Initiatives” at the House of Finance at Goethe University in Frankfurt. Gunther Glenk also gave a presentation on the challenges of the “Cost-efficient Decarbonization of Portland Cement Production”.

This one-day conference brought together researchers, policymakers and practitioners in order to shed light on the most cost-effective pathways for decarbonization in hard-to-decarbonize industries. Such analysis should be informative to policymakers and corporate decision-makers in order to gauge the incentives and regulation that will be required for comprehensive decarbonization. MISES researchers Katrin Gschwind, Rezvan Derayati and Ekaterina Savchenko were also participants of the workshop and captured the key findings in writing.
