Join the University Orchestra: Auditions are Now Open

The Mannheim University Orchestra is looking for new members. Anyone who plays a symphonic instrument and has orchestral experience is welcome to join.

Would you like to join us? Then please contact the conductor, Manus O'Donnell, at manus.orchestergooglemail.com to sign up for an audition. The dates are: Wednesday, September 9 (7:00–9:00 p.m.), Wednesday, September 16 (7:00–9:00 p.m.), and Saturday, September 19 (10:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.).

The orchestra is specifically looking for:oboe/English horn, bass clarinet, trumpet, French horn, trombone, tuba, harp, percussion, and all string instruments (especially double basses)

Regular rehearsals are always held on Monday evenings from 7:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.

The program includes:
Paul DUKAS – Fanfare to Preced La Péri
Claude DEBUSSY – Petite Suite for Orchestra
Eugène YSAŸE – Amitié, Op. 26
César FRANCK – Symphony in D minor
