New Funding Program: “Equal Opportunity Initiatives”

With the new funding program “Initiatives in Equal Opportunity,” the Office of the Equal Opportunity Commissioners at the University of Mannheim now supports activities and projects by academic and non-academic staff that advance gender equality.

Eligible are self-initiated projects that cannot be funded through existing programs. You can apply for grants covering personnel, travel, and/or material costs between 250 and 1,000 euros. Examples include travel grants for seminars or conferences with a gender focus, costs for inviting guest speakers, support for data collection, assistance by research assistants, or the purchase of electronic equipment. Funds are awarded on a rolling basis until the annual budget is exhausted.
