Commissioner Mariya Gabriel to deliver a keynote speech at the ENGAGE.EU Expansion event in Sofia
Ms Mariya Gabriel, the European Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth, will deliver a keynote speech during the ENGAGE.EU Expansion event which will take place on May 26–27 at the University of National and World Economy in Sofia, Bulgaria.
The highlights of the Sofia conference on May 26 between 13:45–14:30 CEST will be streamed live at the ENGAGE.EU YouTube channel and Facebook page. Besides the Commissioner’s keynote speech on the topic of “Universities’ Role in Green and Digital Transitions”, the Rector of the hosting UNWE Prof. Dimitar Dimitrov will welcome all participants as well as Prof. Thomas Puhl – the Rector of the coordinating university – University of Mannheim. All participants will also be welcomed by the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Bulgaria Acad. Nikolai Denkov.
The official signing for the joining of Hanken School of Economics from Helsinki, Finland, and Ramon Llull University from Barcelona, Spain, will take place afterwards.
The ENGAGE.EU Sofia conference will also include ENGAGE.EU Boards sessions, networking and bilateral meetings.
