International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women

On the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women on November 25, the Department of Gender and Equal Opportunity of the University of Mannheim has designed a new website to draw attention to violence against women and girls. The website offers help to everyone with any issues related to sexual harassment.

On the website, you can find regional and supraregional places to go, helpful information and materials as well as interesting facts from scientific studies. Furthermore, you can find a video from Tanja Kramper, managing director of the local crime prevention association Kommunale Kriminalprävention Rhein-Neckar e.V., who will inform you about the most important facts about violence in the region and provide tips on dealing with dangerous situations.

Persons who are effected can contact specialized persons at the University of Mannheim directly via the website, who will support them in cases of sexual harassment, psychological and physiological abuse. Also if you face discrimination, violation against partnership behavior or have questions regarding compatibility, the specialized persons are glad to help you.

Here you find the general website of the Department of Gender and Equal Opportunity of the University of Mannheim.
