STEM Innovations 2027

Once again this year, the Vector Foundation is looking for courageous scientists who would like to explore an original and unconventional research idea in mathematics, computer science, the natural sciences, or engineering.

The “MINT Innovations 2027” call for proposals provides funding for scientifically ambitious projects in their early stages. The program seeks novel—and even high-risk—research approaches whose viability is to be tested for the first time within the framework of the project, for example through a proof of concept or feasibility study. Open-ended research is expressly encouraged.

Submission deadline: December 15, 2026
Funding amount: up to 100,000 euros per project
Project duration: up to 24 months

Researchers at all career stages at colleges, universities, and non-university research institutions in Baden-Württemberg are eligible to apply.

Grant applications may be submitted through the online application portal until December 15, 2026. All information regarding the call for proposals, the application process, and the required documents can be found on this website (in German).
