Prof. Dr. Alexandra Niessen-Ruenzi Appointed to the Scientific Advisory Board at the Federal Ministry of Finance

Since 13 April 2026, Prof. Dr. Alexandra Niessen-Ruenzi has been a member of the Scientific Advisory Board at the German Federal Ministry of Finance (BMF). The appointment was made by Federal Minister of Finance Lars Klingbeil, Member of the German Bundestag.

The Scientific Advisory Board advises the Ministry independently on fundamental economic and fiscal policy issues. Through academically grounded analyses and expert reports, the Board supports political decision-making processes and contributes evidence-based perspectives to current reform debates.

Prof. Dr. Alexandra Niessen-Ruenzi is Professor of Business Administration and Corporate Governance at the University of Mannheim. Her research focuses on empirical capital market research.
