Semester Concerts and Theatre Performances

On 28 April at 7.30 p.m., the University Choir will perform pieces from various eras – all linked by the theme “sun”. The concert will take place in the University Aula (East Wing, first floor). Tickets can be purchased either at the venue or on 22 and 23 April from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the Mensa.
The University Orchestra will play on 10 May at 5 p.m. and on 11 May at 8 p.m. at the Schlosskirche in Mannheim, featuring works by Tschaikowsky and Bartholdy, among others. More information is available here.
On 12 May at 8 p.m., the Bigband invites you to its semester concert at Klapsmühl’ am Rathaus. The concert is part of the Bigband Chamber Concerts series. Admission is 15 Euros (reduced price 10 Euros). Tickets are available at the venue, at the theatre box office (Tue–Sat 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.), by phone at 0621-22488, or by email at infoklapsmuehl.eu. This year the University theatre is presenting “Fa(u)st Forward,”, a play by C. Heinzel based on J. W. v. Goethe. The production has been recognized and awarded by the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Culture as a “project of particular social relevance”. The preview will take place on 20 May, followed by the premiere on 21 May. Additional performances are scheduled for 22 and 23 May. Tickets will be available for purchase at the Campus shop starting in May. Further information can be found here (in German).
