International QS Ranking: The University of Mannheim Is Germany’s Best University in Economics and Business Administration Again
In the current “QS World University Ranking by Subject 2025”, the University of Mannheim has climbed 45 places to reach 91st place worldwide in the “Social Sciences and Management” category. In Germany, it is the second-best university in this category.

The university achieves particularly strong results in business and economics: it is ranked first in Germany in accounting and finance, second in business and management studies and third in economics and econometrics. This means that it remains the leading German university in this field.
In national comparison, the University of Mannheim is also very well ranked in other disciplines: in political science and psychology (the latter in the category “Life Sciences”), it achieves a shared fourth place, and a shared fifth place in sociology. It is also among the top ten German universities in statistics, and communication and media studies.
The “QS World University Rankings by Subject“ are published every year and this year rank more than 1,500 universities worldwide in terms of their research reputation, cross-border research collaborations, the number of their publications and citations, and the reputation of graduates with employers.
