Events on Sustainability

This fall, the University of Mannheim invites everyone interested to a variety of events on sustainability.

There is a new edition of the lecture series “Climate Change” (Ringvorlesung Klimawandel) by the AStA of the University of Mannheim: At regular intervals, experts in the fields of research, politics and international institutions speak about their field of expertise with regard to climate change. The topics covered include migration, financial markets, and health.  After the lectures, there will be an opportunity for discussion. The lectures will be held in German and will take place at 7 p.m. in the Ostflügel (east wing) of the Schloss. The series will begin on 19 September. Further information (in German)

At the French-German Sustainability Dialogue (Deutsch-Französischer Nachhaltigkeitsdialog), you can attend events on “Shaping a sustainable future from the transparency of the past” (Aus der Transparenz der Vergangenheit die Zukunft nachhaltig gestalten“). The conference is a cooperation of the Franco-German University, the ASKO Europa Stiftung and the University of Mannheim. From 7 until 13 October, the University Days on Sustainability will take place. There will be guided city tours, workshops, and panel discussions. The conference is organized by student organizations of the University of Mannheim, AStA and Scientists4Future. The events will be held in German and English.
