Each year, an international degree-seeking student at the University of Mannheim is awarded the DAAD Prize, worth EUR 1,000. Click on the pictures to learn more about the award winners.

At the age of 23, he left China to study in Germany: Arpat Erken grew up in the west of the country and is now pursuing the Mannheim Master in Management at the University of Mannheim.

In just two years, he has founded an international football team, completed several internships in finance and consulting, and actively engaged in the student council. This year, he has been awarded the DAAD Prize for his outstanding academic achievements and commitment to campus life.
