Come back? Please do.

With a newly launched website aimed specifically at former students, the University of Mannheim is expanding its outreach to alumni.

Being a student is a unique time in life, and the Schloss remains a magical place.  Each year about 2,500 students graduate from the University of Mannheim and move on to their careers — but the memories and the sense of connection endure. Wondering what’s happening at your alma mater these days? The new alumni website now offers plenty of answers, gathered in one place and tailored specifically to graduates. “We want to reach all of our alumni and invite them to connect with us directly,” explains Imke Cram, the university’s alumni manager.

There are many opportunities for alumni to return to campus, including Schloss tours, panel discussions, and the new Mehr WISSENschaft events. And interest in staying connected is very real, says Sabrina Scherbarth, Head of University Funding: “We regularly hear from alumni who want to organize reunions, ask about graduation ceremonies, or simply wish to keep in touch with the university. With the new website, we want to send a clear message: our doors are open. We’re here, and you’re always welcome to come back!”
