Marc Debus Appointed Editor-in-Chief of the Leading Political Science Journal in German-Speaking Countries
The Mannheim scientist has been the Editor-in-Chief of the Politische Vierteljahresschrift/ German Political Science Quarterly since January 2026.

Since January 2026, Mannheim political scientist Professor Marc Debus has served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Politische Vierteljahresschrift/
The Politische Vierteljahresschrift/
Debus was appointed six years after another Mannheim academic, Professor Thomas König, ended his term of office as Editor-in-Chief of the American Political Science Review. Under the latter’s editorial leadership, this flagship of US political science was published from outside the US for the first time.
