Double and Joint Degree Programs
International experience in high dosage! In a Double or Joint Degree Program, studying abroad is an integral part of the Mannheim study program and you spend half of your degree program at a partner university abroad. In addition to the Mannheim degree, you will also receive an international degree, and this without paying tuition fees abroad. Double and Joint Degrees are offered in certain study programs and with selected partner universities. There are currently programs in the following subject areas:
- Business
- Economics
- Political Science
- German Studies
With a double degree program, you will receive, as the name suggests, two degrees, one from the University of Mannheim and one from the partner university. You apply to the University of Mannheim usually after admission.
In the case of a joint degree, you will receive a joint degree certificate from both universities. A joint degree is a combined degree program of the cooperating universities with a common set of study regulations. You apply for admission before you start your studies.
Scholarships: For European programs, you can apply for Erasmus funding after you were selected. For double degree programs within and outside of Europe, DAAD one-year scholarships may also be considered – please note that the application deadlines here are often more than a year in advance (DAAD information on study abroad scholarships is only available in German). In addition, there are other funding opportunities.
