Double and Joint Degree Programs
When pursuing a double or joint degree program, students spend half of their program abroad at a partner university while remaining fully enrolled at the University of Mannheim.
- As the title suggests, students who complete a double degree program receive two degrees: one from the University of Mannheim and one from the partner university abroad. Students usually apply for a double degree program after being admitted to the University of Mannheim.
- When completing a joint degree program, students receive a joint degree certificate from both universities. This means that it is a joint program offered by the cooperating universities with joint study regulations. Prospective students need to apply for admission before beginning their studies.
Scholarships
Students pursuing a European program, can apply for an Erasmus grant after they have been admitted a study place. DAAD annual scholarships may be available for double degree programs within and outside Europe. Please note that the application periods often end more than a year in advance. There are also other financing options available.
Your opportunities at the University of Mannheim
In certain programs and in collaboration with selected partner universities, students can earn a double or joint degree. Currently, such programs are available in Business Administration, Economics, Political Science, and German Studies.
