23 May 2023: 11. German Diversity Day #DDT23

The aim is to set an example for diversity and tolerance through greater visibility. The Diversity Day was founded by the “Charter für Vielfalt” (Charter for Diversity) initiative, which aims to promote recognition, appreciation, and inclusion of diversity in the working world.
The University of Mannheim is also committed to promoting diversity among the university staff. Since summer 2022, the University of Mannheim has been undergoing the Stifterverband's diversity audit “Vielfalt gestalten” (Shaping Diversity). In the audit process, which will run until spring 2024, students, administrative staff, teachers, and researchers at the University of Mannheim are working together. Measures are being developed and action days planned in various diversity working groups and four university-wide workshops. All members of the university can participate in the working groups and workshops at any time. If you are interested in joining a working group you can contact the coordination of the audit.
If you have experienced discrimination, there are some counselling and support services available at the University of Mannheim:
- Dipl. Psychologist Ute Pfründer
- Alexandra Raquet
You will find further information regarding our counselling and support services in this brochure .
