Eckhard Janeba Now Chair of the Board of Academic Advisors of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action

Professor Eckhard Janeba, Professor of Economics at the University of Mannheim is the new chair of the Board of Academic Advisors of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK). The Board of Academic Advisors gives the ministry advice on all aspects of economic policy.

In addition to the implementation of the energy transition, the most important topics on the Board’s agenda are a new foreign economic policy in a new geopolitical situation, the financial sustainability of the social security systems, climate protection, and shaping competition in the digital era.
