New seminar offered for your ICS module
New seminar offer for your ICS module: Politics of Memory!
This semester you have the opportunity to take part in a new course in the ICS module: IDV 402 “Politics of Memory: Evolution of Ukrainian History Education”!
Our Ukrainian guest lecturer Dr. Ivan Balykin will give an insight into the history of Ukraine since its independence in 1991 and how the politics of memory influences the understanding of the Ukrainian past, with a focus on Ukrainian history education.
The aim of the English-language course is to provide insights into the impact of memory politics on historical narratives, the role of education policy and the cultural factors that shape the representation of historical events.
Through discussions, exchanges with experts and research activities, students will critically engage with current debates in Ukrainian history education and develop a comprehensive understanding of the relationship between politics, memory and education.

The course is open to all students enrolled in the Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Culture and Economics in the IKW module. Incomings from all faculties are also welcome!
