Police Operation in Mannheim City Center

After consulting with the relevant authorities, we would like to inform you that the University of Mannheim is not affected by this police operation. The police forces are merely gathering in the Ehrenhof.

The incident is confined to a limited area; there is no danger to members of the university and/or passersby.

Update (2 p.m.): The police have concluded their operation. Based on current information, they believe it was a false alarm.
