Donations to the University of Mannheim Foundation will be used for research projects, to recruit internationally renowned researchers and to upgrade the university’s research equipment. “The donors help the University of Mannheim continue to be a shining example for research and teaching, figuratively speaking,” says Sabrina Scherbarth, managing director of the University of Mannheim Foundation. “Last year, many people were delighted when they received a glowing window, star, or Christmas tree in the virtual palace as a gift and discovered their name next to it. It is a gift that is both beautiful and meaningful,” Scherbarth continues. This year, all those who cherish the Mannheim palace or the university again have the possibility to virtually illuminate the place of science and learning.
A list with the names of all donors will be published on the foundation’s website. If a donation is made in one of the fixed categories, the donor’s name will also appear as a mouseover in the palace image. We also welcome smaller donations starting from 50 euros. It is possible to make a donation as a gift.
The fundraising campaign will run from 25 November 2021 to 6 January 2022.
