Science Prizes 2027

Every year, the state Academy of Baden- Württemberg, the Heidelberg Academy of Sciences and Humanities, awards science prizes for outstanding scientific achievements in both the natural sciences and the humanities.

Awards are given to early career researchers for research done at a research institution in Baden-Württemberg. The awards include a prize money of € 10,000 each. The award ceremony will take place in the context of the Academy’s annual celebration in 2027 and deadline ist September 4, 2026.

Directors of all institutes of state universities as well as public non-university research institutions in Baden- Württemberg are eligible to nominate candidates. It is not possible to nominate yourself. Postdocs may approach professors or heads of institutions and ask them to consider a possible nomination.
