Going Abroad

The University of Mannheim currently offers three funding options if you plan to apply for financial support for your stay abroad.

• The program Internationalization of Doctoral Education@the University of Mannheim (IDEUM) is open to all doctoral students.
• The program Women go abroad is targeted towards female doctoral students, postdocs, and junior professors. (No applications are currently being accepted)
• The Erasmus program facilitates teaching mobility and continuing training in another European country for researchers and teachers. ERASMUS+ funds short-term learning stays for doctoral students at an ENGAGE.EU partner university.
