Postdoc Fellowships Security & Technology (VolkswagenStiftung)
The funding will be for projects based on multi-perspective research approaches, theories, and methods, to explore a comprehensive understanding of security while simultaneously bridging the gap between academia and practice by developing evidence-based solutions for the global transformations of the security system and filling gaps in effective policy advice. For example, the role of artificial intelligence, new technologies, and the growing importance of space in the context of security and defense can be examined, and issues surrounding arms control, deterrence, and ethics can be addressed. Practical and communication activities must be an integral part of the project and account for one-third of the funding period.
