Services
Consultation
First, we will elaborate whether and in what form psychotherapy might be helpful for you. We also offer consultation and therapy as private services, for example, when dealing with relationship or family issues.
Diagnostics
We offer comprehensive diagnostics followed by a therapy recommendation.
Psychotherapy
We offer psychodynamic and systemic therapy for adults, children, and adolescents. We treat people with mental health conditions in individual, group, or multi-person settings (with the involvement of partners or family members).
Individual Therapy
In an individual setting, the focus is on personal issues that are discussed between the patient and the therapist and are understood and addressed within the context of relationships.
Individual Therapy Involving Partners, Family Members, or Close Significant Others
Involving the patient’s close social circle can be helpful and supportive in managing and coping with a mental illness. Among other things, it plays an important role in determining how the situation can be improved for the couple or family as they deal with the mental illness.
Group Therapy
Group therapy is just as helpful as individual therapy and, in some cases, even more effective, especially when interpersonal relationships are central to the illness. Key aspects include building trust and support, understanding interpersonal behavior, expressing one’s own experiences and setting boundaries, social learning, and receiving feedback.
Procedure
During our phone consultation hours, you can schedule an appointment for an initial consultation (50 min.). During this session, we will talk about your concerns and challenges and, if necessary, a detailed assessment will be conducted to determine whether outpatient therapy is appropriate. If applicable, alternative support options will be discussed.
This is followed—possibly with a waiting period—by additional so-called trial sessions, which are used to get to know one another, prepare for therapy, and plan the treatment. Once a decision has been made and, if necessary, an application has been submitted to your health insurance provider, psychotherapy begins. The frequency and duration of therapy vary depending on the treatment focus, therapeutic goals, and the psychotherapeutic approach used.
Payment and Billing
Health insurance covers the costs of consultations and psychological testing, as well as psychotherapy that has been requested and approved. Please bring your insurance card with you to your first appointment!
