International Human Rights Day

Every day is a day to act for human rights!

On 10 December 1948, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights was adopted by the United Nations. Since then, International Human Rights Day has been celebrated since 1950, highlighting abuses and presenting awards to worthy individuals and organizations.

The independent German Institute for Human Rights is committed to the observance and promotion of human rights by the German side in Germany and abroad and reports annually.

Initiatives like Amnesty International fight every day for the respect of human rights.

The Friedensbündnis Mannheim invites you to a gathering on 10 December 2022 from 11:00 to 15:00. Starting point is the beginning of the Planken opposite the water tower and the destination is the Schillerplatz with further program points and information stations.

The University of Mannheim also brings together many nationalities and people with different individual biographies and personalities. Our culture of togetherness is strengthened by good role models. Appreciative and respectful interaction is also an indispensable basis for every single (working) day, thanks to the Code of Conduct of the University of Mannheim.

Advice on violations of partnership behavior is offered by various contact persons at the University. Please feel free to contact us for a confidential discussion!
