It's not that grey – recognizing warning signs of power abuse in academia

Sara Hassan

Harassment and abuse of power don't emerge from nowhere. They build, slowly and gradually, in a common social context.

Harassment and abuse of power don't emerge from nowhere. They build, slowly and gradually, in a common social context. With the Red Flag System, an early recognition model, it becomes possible to recognize the early warning signs right when power-abusive dynamics start. In this workshop, participants learn to identify and name those warning signs in order to create an environment where harassment does not go unnoticed.
