ENGAGE.EU Online PhD masterclass

An event as part of ENGAGE.EU Career Guidance, organized by Tilburg University on the topic of PhD for all (ENGAGE.EU) students.

If you are thinking about doing a PhD and starting a career in the Netherlands as a researcher, this online seminar is interesting for you.

The first half hour will be a general session where we will provide you with more information about:

• What is a PhD? (definition, core activities and salary indication)
• Why doing a PhD in NL? (Dutch specifics and number of promotions)
• Where to find PhD positions?
• How to prepare for a PhD? (CV & personal pitch tips)
• Career perspective (transferable skills & career tools for after the PhD)

In the second part of the master class we will split up in groups where you get specific information about the process of becoming a PhD’er within one of our schools. During this part of the online seminar, a current PhD’er will also join the session to share his/ her experience and answer your question.
