CAS Guest Lecture
The current CAS cohorts is happy to invite Marcel Binz for the 2nd CAS Guest Lecture on the topic of “Foundation models of human cognition”. His talk is part of the cohort’s project entitled “Knowledge acquisition, representation and application in human minds and machines.”
Abstract:
Most models of human cognition are domain-specific, meaning that their scope is restricted to a single type of problem. The human mind, on the other hand, does not work this way -- it is a unified system whose processes are deeply intertwined. In this talk, I present my ongoing work on foundation models of human cognition: models that not only predict, simulate, and explain behavior in a single domain but instead offer a unified take on our mind.
The event will be streamed on Zoom as well. Thus, a (virtual) participation is possible. Please use the following link to access the Zoom meeting: https://uni-mannheim.zoom-x.de/j/67232604854. You will first enter the so-called “waiting room”. The host will give you access once the event officially starts.
