Student Works

At the Schloss, artistic works by students are regularly exhibited, expanding the university’s art collection and exhibition program. Their pieces foster a vibrant dialog between traditional and contemporary art, offering new and inspiring perspectives.

The ABSOLVENTUM photo contest

The annual ABSOLVENTUM photo contest offers students of the University of Mannheim the opportunity to present their photographic works to a wider audience. Under the 2025 theme “Wahrheit oder Pflicht?” (Truth or Dare?), participants explore the tension between authenticity, staging, and personal expression.

The photographs will be on display from 28 August 2025 to 1 September 2026 on the ground floor in the Schloss Ostflügel of the University of Mannheim. The exhibition showcases a diverse range of student perspectives, combining artistic expression with critical reflection on contemporary issues.

Kulturkreis Scholarship

Inspiration, creativity, intuition, and the ability to see things from new perspectives are essential for long-term success in today’s world of business and academia.

The Association of Arts and Culture of the German Economy (Kulturkreis der deutschen Wirtschaft) has established the Bronnbach Scholarship to help future business leaders cultivate cultural competence. Through the program, students explore creative approaches to addressing professional challenges and develop the skills needed to take on social responsibility. This is achieved through direct exchange with artists from the fields of architecture, fine arts, music, dance, and theater.
