My training in the field of information technology is never boring. There's always something new to learn. What I like most is the working atmosphere. Everyone is really friendly and helpful. I also appreciate that we all show us mutual respect. I am treated like a regular employee rather than as a “stupid trainee” and, above all, I am appreciated as a person.

In my training as a media and information specialist for libraries (FaMI) at the Mannheim University Library, no two days are the same. A wide variety of tasks in different departments await me every day. Even during our training, we can actively shape learning in the library and are involved in various processes. The library staff members always lend us trainees a sympathetic ear and we meet as equals.
