President's Office

The team at the President's Office supports the university management in administrative and organizational matters as well as in strategic and higher education policy issues. It is in charge of the Coordination of Committees and Bodies, Communications, and Marketing as well as Sustainability Management, the scholarship system, Strategic Planning, preparations for appointments, and University Funding. The team works closely with the Elite Sports Scholarship Rhine-Neckar Metropolitan Region.

Secretaries and personal advisor to the President

The secretarial team supports both the President and the Vice Presidents. They are the first point of contact and coordinate any incoming inquiries. The personal advisor to the President directly assists the President.


Communications

The Communications department functions as the link between the university and the public. They coordinate press inquiries and public relations work, share news from the university both within and outside the organization, and provide advice on communication issues. The department also manages the LinkedIn, Facebook, and Mastodon channels as well as the FORUM magazine, organizes central events, and is responsible for scholarship management.


Marketing

The Marketing department is responsible for the university's national and international brand image. In addition to institutional marketing, the main areas of responsibility are student recruitment and employer branding. The department manages the university’s website, the Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube channels as well as the areas of photo, video, corporate design, and campaign management.


Digital Transformation

The digital transformation managers at the President's Office support the digitalization of administrative processes at the university in the WANDELdigital project.


Coordination of Committees and Bodies

Coordination of Committees and Bodies is divided into the offices of the Senate and the University Supervisory Board and manages their meetings, committees, and commissions as well as the bodies of the President's Office. It is also responsible for organizing and conducting elections to the Senate and the school councils.


Sustainability Management

All issues related to sustainability are the responsibility of the Vice President for Sustainability. The Sustainability Management Consultant and the Sustainability in Teaching Coordinator assist the Vice President.


Strategic Planning

The President's Office supports the President in strategic planning and implementing key strategic measures. The university updates its strategy every five years in the strategic plan (only available on the intranet).


University Funding

University Funding is responsible for the university's fundraising and coordinates cooperation with our sponsors and partners.
