Installations and New Media
Spread across the University of Mannheim campus, installations and other artworks reflect a broad spectrum of artistic media and materials. Through the interplay of diverse forms of expression, they offer new perspectives on contemporary art.
Ina Grützbach: Tesafilmtierchen (little animal made of adhesive tape)

In the reading room of the Hasso Plattner Library, an extraordinary animal sculpture made entirely of adhesive tape captures the visitors’ attention. Created by Ina Grützbach, the work exemplifies the artist’s experimental approach to material and form.
The sculpture was acquired by the ARTgenossen—young art enthusiasts affiliated with Kunsthalle Mannheim—and is on permanent loan to the University of Mannheim. Working across photography, sculpture, and multimedia art, Grützbach employs diverse materials to produce works that surprise and fascinate viewers alike.
