DFG Junior Researcher Academy “Transdisciplinary Instruments for Climate Change Adaptation”

The German Research Foundation (DFG) has set up the “Transdisciplinary Instruments for Climate Change Adaptation – hei_INSTRUMENTS” academy to promote young researchers. The focus of the academy is on transdisciplinary instruments for climate change adaptation and computer-aided climate adaptation strategies.

The primary aim of the Junior Researcher Academy is to prepare junior researchers from various scientific disciplines to independently carry out research projects and the associated acquisition of third-party funding. To this end, up to 20 applicants are given the opportunity to participate in targeted training courses and a focused, individual mentoring program by proven experts. Participants are also given the opportunity to develop their own research profile. Networking between researchers is also an important goal of the academy.

The Junior Researcher Academy comprises three consecutive modules: a three-day academy module and two one-day colloquia. At the end of this qualification program, participants should be able to continue their research projects independently on the basis of the proposals submitted to the DFG.

The application period ends on September 8, 2024.
