The funding line supports unconventional and “wild ideas” with high innovation potential in the STEM field.

CZS Wildcard Wildcard is explicitly aimed at projects by interdisciplinary consortia of three scientists that are radically new and therefore particularly risky. Individual scientific preparatory work is not required.

Funding amount: up to € 750,000
duration 24 months
Application deadline: 20 April 2026
