Successfully turning a business idea into a legally well-structured company requires more than creativity and entrepreneurial spirit – it also demands a solid understanding of the legal framework. From choosing the right legal form to protecting intellectual property and drafting employment contracts, founders face a multitude of legal decisions that must be considered during the start-up phase.
In this workshop, experts from MELCHERS Rechtsanwälte PartG mbB will provide practical insights into the most important legal topics for founders. The focus will be on corporate law, intellectual property law, and labor law. In these areas, participants will gain essential insights to start their founding journey well-prepared.
Corporate Law: Participants will receive information on corporate law with a focus on choosing the appropriate legal form and on founding a GmbH or UG: the process of incorporation, drafting the necessary contracts, contributing capital or assets, as well as liability issues in the founding stage.
Intellectual Property Rights: Participants will learn the basics of industrial property protection and copyright law and find out how to effectively protect their business ideas, products, and brands.
Labor Law: Participants will learn the basics of labor law for start-ups, from legally compliant recruitment to the drafting of initial employment contracts and separation management. In addition, there will be an introduction to the social security status of founders, shareholders, and company organs.
The workshop is aimed in particular at aspiring founders who are in the process of planning their first legal steps. After each presentation, there will be time for participants to ask the experts individual questions in an open discussion round.
