A short profile of the speakers of the Summer School.

Dr. Martin Adelmann studied political science, geography and English in Freiburg, Canada and South Africa. After completing his PhD on “SADC-An Actor in International Relations?” at the University of Freiburg, he is involved as a project employee in applied projects at the Arnold Bergstraesser Institute in Freiburg. He has been the managing director there since 2011. In addition, he works at the University of Freiburg and in other institutions as a lecturer in the field of development policy.
