Open Positions for Doctoral Candidates

MISES features a highly motivated research team with a diverse, international, and interdisciplinary background. The research is published regularly in premier academic journals in the fields of business, management, economics, and science. The institute maintains a close network of renowned researchers and leading companies around the world within the domain of sustainability management.
Members of the MISES team:
- have a quantitative background and apply quantitative analytical tools with academic rigor,
- have completed a master’s degree in business, economics, or related domains,
- consistently show high commitment, intrinsic motivation, and performance,
- communicate in English with ease, both in writing and in speaking,
- enjoy working on a flexible schedule in terms of time and location.
Doctoral researchers at MISES are embedded in the doctoral program at the Graduate School of Economics & Social Sciences (GESS) at the University of Mannheim. A key advantage of this program is the extensive course portfolio that facilitates the acquisition of strong methodological and technical foundations for doctoral students. Applicants should submit their application to both MISES and GESS. The early application deadline is on 15 January 2025, and the final application deadline is on 31 March 2025. Applications from candidates not accepted in the early round will be reviewed again with all other applications in the final round.
