Anna-Maria Rohe Wins GEE Award 2025

She impressed the jury with her Master’s thesis: “The impact of climate legislation on renewable energy firms’ stock returns: An event study of the 2022 Inflation Reduction Act with a focus on the hydrogen industry.” Her work included an extensive analysis of how financial market participants assess the expected effectiveness of the U.S. Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) in the energy sector.
The jury, comprising 22 members from European universities, research institutions, and energy-industry organizations, selected three Master’s and three doctoral theses for the final round from numerous high-quality submissions. Before reaching the final, each thesis underwent multiple reviews and was evaluated in a joint assessment process. On 21 November 2025 in Berlin, Anna-Maria Rohe presented the results of her research to a broad audience from academia and industry.
