Doing sports is the perfect way of creating balance if your typical day is comprised of lectures, seminars, and study groups, which means that you spend your time mainly sitting. After all, exercising on a regular basis and to a sufficient extent does not only reduce stress and fosters a more robust immune system. Going for a run in between your classes, hitting a few baskets, swimming a few lanes, doing yoga or ballet can also help you clear your head and effectively switch off. Plus: a sports break also gives you energy for the next study session.
It is a matter of personal preference whether you opt for a group or team sport, an individual discipline, a session in the gym or online classes at home. Nearly all disciplines boost your stamina. In the best case, you meet new people, make friends, and enjoy your time.
If you also observe a healthy diet and get enough sleep, you are taking good care of yourself.
