Captive Portal for employees |

Easy setup of LAN access.

UNIT now offers a captive portal for employees.

The captive portal allows unregistered guests to connect to the internet via the LAN and submit an IP request. This is necessary in order to use an internet connection via LAN at the University of Mannheim.

If you do not yet have an IP request, you can now submit one directly and easily when connecting to the LAN. This means you no longer have to go through any extra steps to set up access to the LAN.

Connect to a LAN connection at the University of Mannheim and open your browser. You can log in with your Uni-ID.
Your internet connection will then be restricted to MyUni-ID. Here you can submit an IP application to use the LAN access without restrictions.
